Set up AI model
Configure the Anthropic API key to enable chat via the portal.
By entering a Claude API key, the owner enables chat via the portal. Users can then chat via the Chat tab or create workflows without needing their own Claude subscription. See How do you want to chat? for the difference with the other chat mode.
Choose a model
The chosen model is used organization-wide for all chats via the portal and for the execution of all workflows. You can choose from three models:

Set up the API key
- Go to Organization > AI Model.
- Choose the desired model.
- Paste your Claude API key into the field.
- Click Save.
The Claude API key is stored encrypted and is never visible to other users.
Create a Claude API key
Don't have a Claude API key yet? Create one via the Anthropic Console.
- Log in to the Anthropic Console.
- Go to API keys and click Create key.
- Give the key a recognizable name (e.g. "Power BI Agent — [organization name]").
- Copy the key immediately — you cannot view it in full again afterward.
ZDR (Zero Data Retention)
With Zero Data Retention, Anthropic does not retain query data. You need to request this from Anthropic — they enable it on your API account. Once ZDR is active on your account, it applies automatically to all requests made via your API key.
Request ZDR via platform.claude.com/settings/privacy.
