Connect Claude

By connecting Claude, you enable the chat mode via Claude Desktop or Claude.ai. Each user does this for themselves. See How do you want to chat? for the difference with the portal chat mode.

Requirements

• A Claude subscription with Anthropic (personal Pro/Max or organization Team/Enterprise).
• Claude Desktop installed, or access to Claude.ai.

Connect

1. Go to the Claude menu in the Power BI Agent portal.
2. Follow the step-by-step instructions to configure the connector.

After connecting, Power BI Agent is available as a tool in Claude Desktop or Claude.ai via the + menu in a chat.

Note: pseudonymization

In this mode, fields set to pseudonymize in Masking are anonymized instead. Pseudonymization is only available in the portal chat mode. See How do you want to chat? for explanation.
