With the Copilot connector, users can ask questions about their Power BI data in Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat. Your organization owner and a Microsoft 365 admin add the connector together, once for the whole organization. After that, each user connects themselves via Connect Copilot. Requirements
- A Microsoft 365 environment with Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Your organization owner in Power BI Agent and a Microsoft 365 admin with the Global Administrator or AI Administrator role.
Add the connector
- The owner goes to Organization > Settings > Copilot in the portal and clicks Generate credentials.
- The Microsoft 365 admin registers the OAuth connection in the Teams Developer Portal.
- The Microsoft 365 admin adds the connector in the Microsoft 365 admin center and grants consent in Power BI Agent once.

Availability
The connector is available to all users in your Microsoft 365 environment by default. The admin can restrict this afterwards in the connector settings under View details. Changes can take up to 15 minutes to take effect.
