Power BI Agent available in Microsoft 365 Copilot

Power BI Agent is now available not only through the Power BI Agent portal and Claude, but also directly within Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat. This allows users to analyze their Power BI data from the AI environment they already use every day.

A Microsoft 365 administrator only needs to configure the connection once through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. To simplify the setup process, all required configuration values and instructions are available within Power BI Agent, complete with convenient copy buttons.

Once the connection has been enabled, users can activate it themselves through Settings > Sources in Microsoft 365 Copilot. The new Copilot section within Power BI Agent also provides visibility into active connections, the number of requests processed, and when the integration was last used.

The Microsoft 365 Copilot integration uses the same datasets, skills, and security settings as the existing Power BI Agent integrations. Sensitive data masking is automatically applied, ensuring that analyses remain secure and consistent regardless of whether users work in the Power BI Agent portal, Claude, or Microsoft 365 Copilot.
