Chat-visual in your Power BI dashboard

With the introduction of the Power BI Agent Chat Visual, gaining insights from your data becomes even easier. Users can now chat directly with Power BI Agent from within their Power BI reports, without switching to the Power BI Agent portal.

The visual can be downloaded as a .pbiviz file from the Power BI menu option in the Power BI Agent portal and easily imported into any Power BI report.

Users sign in with their own account, including support for multi-factor authentication (MFA). This ensures that security and access rights remain fully aligned with the existing Power BI Agent environment.

One of the most powerful features is the ability to choose which dataset to chat with. The selected dataset does not have to be the same dataset used by the report itself, allowing users to analyze multiple data sources from a single reporting environment.

The chat experience is identical to the one available in the Power BI Agent portal. The same API key, datasets, custom and built-in skills, and sensitive data masking settings are automatically applied.

With the Chat Visual, the power of Power BI Agent is brought directly into the dashboard experience. Users no longer need to leave their reports to ask questions, perform analyses, and uncover insights, making AI-driven analytics a seamless part of everyday Power BI usage.
